About the Event
Hosted by storyteller, Sonia Fernández LeBlanc, the evening will entail poems, stories, and songs by community members as well as feature a special guest performance by Sandy Coomer.
Sandy Coomer is a poet, artist, business owner, and endurance athlete living in Brentwood, TN. She is the author of 3 poetry chapbooks and 2 full-length collections - Available Light, published by Iris Press, and The Broken Places, published by Saddle Road Press. Her art and poetry have been published in over 150 print and online journals and she has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize multiple times. Sandy is the Founding Editor of the online journal, Rockale Review, which publishes poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction and art twice a year. She is also the Founder and Director of Rockvale Writers' Colony, a retreat center south of Nashville, which offers writing residencies and weekend retreats for writers of all genres. Sandy is…
