Come celebrate with New Abstract Mixed Media Fun! This class is all about Mixed Media layering to create Abstract Works of art. In this class you will alter papers, create gelli plate papers, and learn how to use gesso for texture making. Lisa will also take you through some new demos for incorporating additional materials like lace, wire mesh, assemblage paraphernalia and more into your abstract mixed media works of art. Using Acrylic Paint and Oil Pastels along with these new materials, you will layer, rub, reveal, and layer some more until an abstract work of art emerges. Lisa will show you how to negatively subdue areas of less interest while highlighting those areas that sing to your soul. Composition also enters into the play of Abstract Art, so Lisa will give you some tips on that as well. Whether you are a beginner or a repeat Mixed Media enthusiast, there will be many new things to add to your tool box in this class. Skill Level: any skill level Pre-requisites: none Materials that the facilitator will provide, for which reimbursement is needed:  Canvas Board or Panels, Never Dull, Gac 100, Found papers, Paint Pens, Semi-gloss soft gel medium, Gesso, Oil Pastel Crayons (non-soluble), Matte Medium, Wire mesh, Lace Materials students will be required to gather/bring for themselves: any of the above that the student wants to bring plus canvases or cradle boards *** Fee: $225 (Members 15% discount with coupon code at checkout) If the class is full but you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email registration@artandsoulnashville.com.
