If you are looking for a way to kick-start or sustain your creative life, this weekend immersion course will remind you of how to engage your whole self in the creative process. Whether you have been making art for years or are a first timer, our practices will ground you in authentic art making. Anne and other CADP facilitators will lead you in practices like play, movement, and sound, bypassing the conditioned mind and dropping into a deeper place where each of us can discover our own innate mark making. Art and Soul is founded on core beliefs that value the art process over the product. Our classes cultivate a judgement-free attitude and nurture your own authentic creativity. This weekend course mirrors the foundational 6-week CADP series by immersing you in our core practices. It fulfills the requirement for Membership in our Artists' Co-operative and is a pre-requisite for Wide Circle weekends and Sustaining Artistic Awakening (formerly CADP-II). The studio encourages you to take CADP multiple times to reground yourself and set new intentions for your creative life. Due to the immersive nature of this class, attendance for the entire weekend is required. Note the start and end times for each day. Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty, and bring any food you'll need. All art supplies are provided. Students should bring a sack lunch for Saturday and Sunday and a water bottle if desired *** Fee: $245 (Members 15% discount with coupon code at checkout) If the class is full but you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email registration@artandsoulnashville.com. Art & Soul classes are for ages 17 and up. If you would like to request an exception, please contact the studio to see if the teacher can make accommodations for younger participants. Masks are not required in the studio, but please feel free to wear one. If you are vulnerable, let us know so we can provide a safe, masked space for you.
