Dive into envisioning and creating a personal sanctuary in this class that blends intuitive movement with your chosen form of visual or written expression. Amanda’s process begins with abstract movement and flows into painting and shaping the air around you with eyes closed. As you move, colors and images emerge in your mind’s eye from a fully-embodied, intuitive space. From this space of deeply dropped-in visioning, you’re invited to utilize paints, pastels, journaling, play items such as fabric, glass beads, stones and other objects to create a representation of your personal sanctuary. This class also allows for time to create a collective sanctuary space for our circle and reflect on how you can more deeply incorporate a space of refuge and restoration in your daily life. Adults only; no previous painting or movement experience necessary. All materials provided. Participants should have a journal, pen, and wear comfortable clothing for movement.
