The micro-narrative—from one sentence to one paragraph to one page—often invites us to say more by saying less. In this 90-minute online workshop, we’ll explore, draft, and share short pieces of memoir and other narratives. We’ll experiment with our prose to see how compressed narratives can help writers discover important truths about themselves and their voices. The micro-narrative form is accessible to writers at any level of practice. Writing in a small form can enliven our prose and perhaps lead to some surprising outcomes. Skill Level: any Pre-requisites: No pre-requisite Materials suggested: Sample texts will be shared by the instructor as inspiration. Students will need a reliable internet connection, a comfortable, quiet writing space, pen & paper or a notebook, and a couple of meaningful personal objects at hand (i.e. photos, jewelry, artwork, items from the natural world, gifts, etc.). *** Fee: $45 (Members 15% discount with coupon code at checkout) Art & Soul classes are for ages 17 and up.
